SEPTEMBER IS REALTOR® SAFETY MONTH!

REALTORS® face job-related risks every day. Being aware of potential dangers and taking precautions will help you avoid risky situations. In an ongoing effort to keep safety top-of-mind for our members, the National Association of REALTORS® and Clarksville Association of REALTORS® dedicate September as REALTOR® Safety Month.

The safety of our members is PRIORITY! CAR has launched a *new* FREE service for all REALTORS®. The number of crimes and murders committed against real estate professionals continues to increase every year. This is why all real estate professionals should put their safety first and use the SafeShowings app. The mission of SafeShowings is to deter criminal behavior against Real Estate Professionals, Home Owners, and Clients.

GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING- 9/28

In honor of September REALTOR® Safety Month, Carl Carter Jr., founder of The Beverly Carter Foundation will be our keynote speaker! Carl will be sharing his mission of promoting safety for all Real Estate Agents.

Resort & Second Home Property Specialist Certification (RSPS) will be offered at the Stewart County Visitors Center on October 5th!

Join our Diversity Committee as they start a new book, The Latino Threat by Leo R. Chavez. CAR will provide you with the book! The book club meets the first Monday of every month for discussion at CAR or via Zoom. Book will be provided for you!

OKTOBERFEST AFFILIATE SHOWCASE- 10/19

You're invited to a Oktoberfest Affiliate Showcase at CAR! Join us in the back parking lot to meet CAR's Affiliates! All members are welcome to attend, and if you want to have a little more fun, sign up below to participate in German relay style games!
A few local favorites will be at the event!

🔹 Flytes Mobile Brewhouse- Each attendee will receive one FREE beer!

Our Helping Hands committee has a goal to feed 900 families that are unable to provide a meal for themselves this Thanksgiving. Food and monetary donations will be accepted. Food donations will be accepted until 11/20/2022 at the CAR office.

Managing Properties Through Your Company
Q: I am a realtor and own a few rental properties which I manage on my own and not through my company. I just wanted to know if there is any rule that would prevent me from putting all of my properties into a Corporation. Thanks in advance and please let me know if you have any questions.
A: IF you want to self-manage outside of your firm, you could not put into a corporation. A Corporation must use a real estate licensee and that activity must go through the firm.
