In honor of September REALTOR® Safety Month, Carl Carter Jr., founder of The Beverly Carter Foundation will be our keynote speaker! Carl will be sharing his mission of promoting safety for all Real Estate Agents.

SOS FOUNDATION ASSISTANCE

The CAR SOS foundation exists to help support other local 501(c)(3) organizations in Montgomery and Stewart counties, and to assist our REALTOR® members with housing related needs in the aftermath of a disaster. 

To apply for assistance, complete the appropriate grant application HERE and return it to the CAR SOS office.

Tell us about a  501(c)(3) that you work with, and we will send them a grant application!

Open Period for Nomination By Petition
Per the CAR Bylaws, additional candidates for the above offices and seats can be added by petition.  The petition for nomination must be signed by 20% of active voting membership and received by the CAR office no later than September 30, 2022. Total membership as of the date of notice is 1,335.

Election Period
After the nomination by petition period has completed, the Election Committee will be appointed and will establish the final ballot and set the dates of the election.  We will conduct the election via electronic vote through AssociationVoting.com.  Complete instructions will follow.

Holidays and Calendar Days

Q: With regard to the Purchase and Sale Agreement and the number of days the buyer has to deliver the earnest money, are those days business days or all days?

A: The purchase and sale agreement defines “days” and how to calculate days within it.  The contract provides definitions for the calculation of time.  It states that all days will be calendar days, holidays, and weekends are not excluded.
